U.S. President Barack Obama shakes hands with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano during their meeting located in Rome. Obama said “It was important to pursue dialogue with Iran and North Korea to dissuade them from acquiring nuclear weapons”. Obama is in Italy to attend the G8 (Group of Eight) summit in L’Aquila from July 8 to July 10. Obama, with his wife Michelle, went swiftly in a meeting with Giorgio. Rising from the meeting with Napolitano, Obama said “he was looking forward to the G-8 talks and praised hishosts for being “such good friends” of the United States over the years”.
