Titans turned incentives that were scheduled to be paid in 2012 into part of Johnson’s 2010 compensation. Johnson was scheduled to receive a $550,000 base salary, making him the lowest-paid running back on Tennessee’s roster.
Johnson remains set to receive base salaries of $800,000 in 2011 and $960,000 in 2012. He also was the NFL Offensive Player of the Year, and as such, he said he wanted to be the league’s highest-paid offensive player.
